eReaders at MPL

Explore the new eReaders you’ve been hearing about! eReaders, such as the Kindle and Sony Readers are electronic devices that contain whole books that you view page by page.

Kennedy Library collection now has a Kindle Reader preloaded with current and bestselling fiction titles. A Sony Reader loaded with current and bestselling non-fiction is also available at Kennedy Library.  You can also use a Kindle Reader while visiting Kennedy to read various international newspapers.

Maring-Hunt Library collection now has a Sony Reader preloaded with current and bestselling fiction.


Sony Reader PocketeReaders can only be checked out by those 18 years or older and customers may want to review the handling instructions and replacement costs before checking the items out. Checkout times are for 14 days and there is sure to be a waiting list for those wishing to check out this latest technology. To reserve/hold go to the MPL catalog, enter Kindle or Sony Reader to see if the equipment is available and to see what titles have been loaded onto each device. Then use your card number to place your hold.
