Make-Over Barbie

Celebrate diversity and uniqueness and make Barbie … more real! Come and transform Barbie-type dolls into someone you can identify with. Color her hair, add hair, build up her stomach and hips with modeling clay. We’ll make new clothes and anything else you can think of. Create Barbie “what not to wear outfits”. We’ll talk about how real young adults need to dress for success and accept their own image and identity.

Come and show off your social network or blog page to your friends. Learn how to set up a blog at this interactive program. Email your Facebook or MySpace page to jdelagardelle@munpl.orgto reserve your blog and tell space. Pick up a wall paper, discover new tips and learn how to stay safe while you network with Web 2.0.
Manga/Anime Club Presented by High Schoolers

Hey middle school and high school students check out the Manga/Anime Club this summer. As part of summer reading the high school Manga Anime club members have prepared a really fun program just for middle school students. The Loft is for high schoolers but now…this summer you too can participate in the Manga/Anime Club.

Young Adult Summer Reading Participants who have completed at least 3 levels will be eligible to participate in this after hours event. The doors will lock at 6 pm but can stay and play. We’re keeping the Library open late…just for you. Celebrate the end of another great Summer Reading Program with a night of fun, games and snacks in the meeting room!
